Where Does the Time Go!

So much has happened since my last post that I will just fill in some highlights. First, Ashlyn and I survived dance recital which was 4 days of hair and makeup, 3 costumes, and 5 performances. Shortly after that we celebrated Hazen's 2nd birthday. We discovered that he is obsessed with Cars. When we took him shopping for his present, he found a mini track of cars and proceeded to fill the cart with every box he could get his hands on. I also attempted to decorate my first cake, which luckily my friend Jill came and helped me with. A week after that we got to welcome our new nephew into our family. Nathen Blain Gifford was born on June 26th and he is SO Beautiful! A few days after that my parents became the new owners of the Original Rosa's Mexican Grill on Mesa Drive & University! We are WAY Excited for them. We got to go to the CIRCUS at the end of June courtesy of Lucas Automotive Group.....thanks Uncle Cory! The kids had a great time and my personal favorite was the baby skipping elephant! The 4th of July was fun. We spent the day at my parents house swimming and eating awesome food. The homemade root beer and homemade ice cream were super yummy! We came home and did a BBQ with the neighbors and then watched the fireworks from Cody's subdivision, they were only a mile away and it was awesome.
Those are the big events. Somewhere in there we did swim lessons. Hazen loved his class with his dad and Ashlyn moved up from shrimps to otters. She also got to do summer camp with Miss Sarah who she loves. Chaney was brave and took the kids for a day and Cody & I actually got to spend a whole day together which totally ROCKED! Thanks Chane. Aunt Chaney moved out by us which has been so much fun for us cause we get to play with Ruby all the time now. And Rigg's big achievements include sleeping through the night, finding his thumb, and growing into the same size diaper as Hazen. I think that covers most of the excitement! Hope your summers have been as fun as ours so far!
